The room feels finished. Until you notice the laundry basket.
Six thoughtful details that make a quilted basket feel at home, even when the washing is waiting.
Some things earn their place in a room. A lamp with just the right glow. A quilt folded over the chair. The picture you moved three times before it felt right. Then there is the laundry basket: useful, certainly, but often chosen in a hurry and kept for years.
We think that everyday corner deserves a little care too. Our quilted laundry baskets bring soft texture and illustrated patterns to a job that still needs doing. The Daisy & Bee design is a lovely place to start: warm golden tones, little bees, and flowers that make a pile of towels feel rather more at home.
A basket should be easy to live with. It should sit neatly beside the wardrobe, carry comfortably to the laundry room, and tuck away when you need the space. Looking good is part of that, but it is the practical details that make it worth choosing.
A useful thing can belong in the room just as much as the things you chose to decorate it.
Here are the six details we would want you to know before you choose yours.
1It stands neatly, even when it is empty
The thick, structured fabric holds its shape, so the basket stays upright without a load of washing to prop it up. It gives the bathroom or bedroom a proper place for laundry, instead of another soft heap on the floor.
Structured cotton-and-polyester fabric · freestanding2The illustration goes all the way around
The pattern wraps around the whole basket. You can set it beside the chair, at the end of the bed, or in the corner by the bathroom door without having to turn a plain back to the wall. Choose flowers, a favorite animal, or something that brings a little of the coast indoors.

3Handles made for the trip between rooms
Sturdy canvas handles are stitched onto the basket, giving you a simple way to carry it from where the washing gathers to where it gets done. The basket itself is lightweight, so you are carrying the laundry rather than a heavy container.
Stitched canvas handles · lightweight body4Soft quilting, straightforward care
The cotton-and-polyester blend has a soft, breathable feel and a quilted texture. Small everyday marks can be wiped away with a damp cloth, and the fabric can be washed when needed. Follow the care instructions supplied with your basket.
Wipes clean · washable when needed
5It makes room when you need room
When you need the floor space back, the basket folds flat for storage. Tuck it away in a cupboard or another suitable spot until it is needed again. A practical detail for smaller homes, spare bedrooms, and rooms that have more than one job.

Small suits a bathroom, nursery, or studio. Medium gives the bedroom or laundry room a little more space. Large is the option for family washing and bigger loads. Start with where it will live, then choose the illustration you would enjoy seeing there.

A basket worth choosing
Think about the things that matter when it is out in the room, and when you are carrying it through the house.

Perhaps it is the bee. Perhaps it is the turtle. Or perhaps you already know that the basket with the owls belongs beside your favorite chair.
